This page describes the reader’s analytics, video, paragraph feedback and reading-position storage.
Analytics
On www.pawelmandera.com/poc-22ffe/, this reader automatically uses PostHog’s EU service to measure page and chapter visits, referring domains, browser/device information and use of navigation, video controls, slide enlargement, source links and disclosures.
An anonymous identifier is stored in this browser’s local storage to recognize returning visits. Page and link query strings and fragments are excluded. There is no session replay, and reading text, selected text, feedback contents, contact details and drafts are not collected by this analytics integration. Analytics blockers may prevent collection; reading and feedback do not depend on analytics. Local previews do not send analytics.
Reading position
A bookmark in this tab’s session storage lets you return from the homepage, About or Privacy to your chapter and reading position. It contains the reader URL, paragraph or section identifier and position, not reading text or comments. It is not sent to the feedback service or analytics. If session storage is unavailable, the ordinary chapter links still work.
Video
Opening a recording loads a YouTube player and connects to YouTube. Playback is subject to YouTube’s own privacy practices; the reader does not load its player until you request video.
Paragraph feedback
Comments are sent privately to the reader’s owner, not published as discussion threads. A submission includes your message, the original paragraph text and its location, and any name or email you choose to provide. Contact details are optional and unverified. Submissions are stored on the website’s server until the owner explicitly deletes them; private daily backups are copied to a separate machine and retained for 30 days.
Unsent drafts stay in this tab’s memory and are lost when you leave or reload. Remembering contact details is optional and uses this browser’s local storage; forgetting them here does not delete earlier submissions. Feedback contents, contact details and drafts are excluded from analytics. Failed submissions keep the draft so you can retry.
